On Friday, May 10, at the last Prayer & Praise Night of the 2019-2020 season (wuuuuut?!), Tito Rapley, of Raplee fame, brought a powerful message about being fake. Sometimes we’re one person at school and with our friends, and a totally different person at church. Living like that is *exhausting*. Instead, we should live into the pattern and way of living God’s created for us to live in (Romans 12:1-2). Enjoy the podcast!

Our churches need to be a safe place for our students, which is why our last Youth Leader Brunch of the 2018-2019 School Year was about Sexual Assault. We talked about consent, being whole persons, the difference between assertiveness and aggression, and so much more. Our guest, Roxanne Pennington, was INCREDIBLE.
WARNING: This episode is about sex and sexual assault, so there may be some triggers in this episode for you. Take care of yourself, and dip out if you need to.
We’re now selling our YC 19 shirt! The Heart to God, Hand to Man shirt is on sale for $10.
To order a shirt, email us at USCMET_Youth@usc.salvationarmy.org with your size. Leaving a comment here will not count! ?♂️

We had an incredible night at the Joliet Prayer & Praise Night last week. Justin Polsley preached a POWERFUL word from Mark 1 on the issues we hide from God. Remember, what you hide, God can’t heal. If you happened to miss it, or want to hear the sermon again, we got you. Check out the podcast below in this post, or on Apple Podcasts.
